Kristopher “Kris” Bedel Joins XSi as Senior Support Engineer, Data Center Services

March 11, 2021 (Alpharetta, GA): XSi (XS International) is pleased to announce that Kristopher Bedel has joined the company as Senior Support Engineer, Data Center Services. This newest addition to the XSi service delivery team brings significant technical expertise in enterprise IT hardware platforms, including SGI (Silicon Graphics), HPE servers and storage, as well as NetApp storage hardware.

Kris Bedel joined XSi in 2021 as a Senior Support Engineer, Data Center Services. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, his past employers include SGI (Silicon Graphics), HPE, Unisys and the U.S. Air Force – 10 years active duty and the Missouri Air National Guard. Through the CCAF, he earned two Associate’s Degrees in Cyber Transport Management and Aircraft Structural Maintenance Management. Following his service to our country, Kris’ various roles included: field engineering, hardware installs, deployments/updates, rebuilding/revamping systems, (Professional Services) OS upgrades/down-revs, re-installs, Crit-Sit management and training supervision. His specific OEM/platform expertise includes: SGI Altix platform, SGI UV 1000/2000/300H, HPE MC990X, HPE SuperDome Flex, HPE 3PAR, NetApp ASE 2 and ASE 3 Certifications and CompTIA Security + Certification. Kris is currently working toward a RedHat RHCSA 8 Certification. Additionally, he has intermediate experience in administration for Cisco, Brocade and Avaya systems. Kris with his wife and two sons, reside in the Greater St. Louis area where they together enjoy most outdoors activities and attending sporting events. He also enjoys woodworking, cooking and is an avid percussionist. In his past, he performed with a Division 2 Drum Corp (“Americanos”) that placed fourth in an international competition. At one time, he also competed in springboard and platform diving competitions, during which he trained with two Olympic athletes.
